Join this powerful show of people united by action. Come one, come all! Run (or walk) from the Reggie Lewis Center through Roxbury, the South End, and Back Bay to Boston Common and encourage people to exercise their critical right to vote. Serving as a physical registration reminder, this run is scheduled for the day before the last day to register to vote in the election being held on November 6th, 2018. (You must be registered 20 days prior to the election to vote here in MA).
Celebrated coach and co-founder of Heartbreak Hill Running Company, Dan Fitzgerald, created this event to unite would-be voters, the unenrolled, and the politically active in a commitment to show up on election day. If you care, show up. That's the message of the day. Politicians will be invited to join the run/walk as members of the public. Brief remarks will be made by leaders of the greater Boston running community before the run starts. There will be a stop mid-run for those looking to check whether or not they are registered and where their polling place is.
The only way to show our government that we matter is to participate. We, the people, run this democracy. RUN THE VOTE.
** This event is a nonpartisan registration drive/rally.
